Life is a Journey

Live each day as a gift. Embrace each moment with passion. Be proud of who you are and never forget the people that matter most. The ones that you loved and lost. The ones sharing their hearts, souls and the ones you have yet to meet. Life is a journey. Be patient, be kind, be forgiving.

Take Responsibility

“The most important aspect of taking responsibility for your life is to acknowledge that your life is your responsibility. No one can live your life for you. You are in charge. No matter how hard you try to blame others for the events of your life, each event is the result of choices you made and are making.”

Most people struggle to take responsibility for themselves and their own happiness, let alone take responsibility for everything in their life. Everything is always someone else’s fault. Yet, what most people fail to realize is that taking responsibility for your life and what you believe about yourself is extremely empowering. It means learning to think for yourself and standing on your own two feet. It means learning that you actually have more choices and options in life than what you thought you did. It means that you are strengthening yourself and becoming more courageous and learning how to stand up for yourself. It means not having to look to others for acceptance, approval or validation because you give that to yourself. It means being the boss of your own life. Taking responsibility for yourself means becoming the man, or woman, that you always wanted to be. It means that anything is possible because you can become anything that you want.

People Leave, Let Them

Don’t ever ask them why they left you. It won’t change anything and nothing you do will stop them from leaving. Sometimes, you have to let them leave and learn to live your own life without depending your happiness to them. Don’t ever think that it’s your loss, in fact, it’s a blessing that they left. They proved that, they don’t deserve to be part of your life. So don’t ever think that it’s your fault why they left. It’s their choice.

Be A Real Friend

Every now and then, check in on your friends and family and if you notice something isn’t right, do what you can to raise their spirits. Sometimes all we need is a little reassurance. Friendships aren’t designed for good times only!

What they don’t tell you…

No one talks about the tough part of moving on. The part where you keep struggling but you don’t want to tell anyone because you feel like you’ve talked too much already on the topic. Or when you’re having a great day but suddenly their smile is stuck in you head. Or what about the time their favorite song starts playing randomly on the radio? No one tells you that healing a heart doesn’t take a couple of days or even a couple of months. It takes as long as the heart needs. But I assure you, no matter how much time the heart takes; it heals.
